When is rockfest 2011 kansas city

They did not even do an encore performance. I will definately give it a go again next year. It is in my blood. I was a Rockfest Virgin so everything was new to me! I loved every second of it from the 1st roar of the crowd to the porta-potty to the last firework! I plan of going next year every band was great and had energy! Best show I've ever been too! All the bands rocked KC. Rockfest rocked!! However, the mainstage should have been where the 2nd stage was. There was more room for people to view the 2nd stage vs the mainstage.

Also, trash cans placed strategically around the grounds would have saved a lot for the cleaning crews. Personally, I got tired of stepping on all that trash.

But from what I could tell, I'm not sure if trash cans would be of help with that particular crowd. Once again, the bands were absolutely amazing. Loved it!!!! Rockfest used to be amazing I guess for the money it still is worth it. The crowds are getting stupid and don't know how to properly mosh or crowd surf.

You literally have no room to stand let alone sit down and take a break and enjoy the atmosphere. And having it in early May is a bad idea, rainy last year, cold this year And your sound people this year had no idea what they were doing Good things: great bands even with crappy sound , plenty of bathrooms, quick beer lines.

Great time, not too crowded, love the venue. Vendors were great and nothing was too expensive. A common bond with Rockers, good music, cold beer and great people. They need to work on spreading out the restrooms and putting blocks of these all over the area. Hands down, best concert ever!!! Everyone should experience this concert at least once in their lives.

Great Line up. Plenty of restrooms, food and drinks for 55, people. This was my 3rd year going, still love it. Hinder and Papa Roach stole the show! It was a little cold but everyone did awesome. Second time going and coldnt be more pleased with it! I enjoyed the whole experience. I got to hang out with friends and Family and hear great music throughout the whole day.

Everyone in the stands were very positive and helpful with what ever you needed. I was able to afford food and drink and still have some money left at the end of the day It was well worth the money.

Also the sound of 55, people cheering when the Sun came out midday was to cool. You could feel the roar of applause anywhere in the grounds. The lineup was great. But if only they would change venues to the racetrack in KCK or something. Between parking, mud, which made this show hell and no place to take a break and sit, it made it very difficult to actually enjoy the show.

Which is the whole purpose of going. I will never go to this event again and definitely won't be recommending it to anyone. Even though we arrived an hour before the gates opened, we stood in line for over 2 hours and completely missed the first band.

We thought we were prepared for all the mud, but there is no way to prepare for that. There was literally no place to sit in the entire venue. The event sold roughly 52, tickets and yet there were only about 19 port-a-potties.

I waited in line for an hour to use the toilet and missed yet another band. They rocked! I've seen Rob Zombie one other time and the Rockfest performance was average at best.

Both stages should have screens on both sides of where the band is playing. For an event with so many people, need better visibility from far away. The sound system wasn't that great. I was fairly close for Halestorm, but it sounded distorted.

More screens should be set-up all throughout the venue. It was just too many people for how it was set-up this year, disappointed that I couldn't see the bands better. Should have more big screens so you don't have to be so packed in all the time.

It gets old fighting the constant stream of people who insist on pushing past you when you've waited so long to get a prime place. Concert was great I wish there had been more Metal and Heavier bands that had put out albums in recent times. It is very trendy bands but they were good. I loved every band that I was able to see! Unfortunately we missed the first two bands due to the endlessly long line.

I can understand opening a bit later to lay down mulch, but come on! Another complaint I have is why wasn't any mulch laid down on the hill to give everyone an easier path to the porta-johns? The only non-uphill path to the johns were like LA traffic. There were enough positives to make it a 3-star, though. The bands this year were all solid; phenomenal job there!

There were also a lot of good food and drink options at a pretty good price. The porta-johns were also pretty well maintained considering just how bad the weather was and how much use they saw. A good time, but please work on trying to expedite that line especially if you're going to open them late.

I thought the venue was set up all crazy!! It was was muddy and cold. The bathrooms were set up below a hill of mud. Even though a couple of bands cancelled it was awesome! It was my first year there and it was a blast! I'm definitely going again next year! I have never been to a concert where there were so many unbelievably rude people. The bands were good that we seen, but overall I would not recommend this event to anyone wanting to have a good time as it was completely miserable.

It's sad that so many great bands had to play in the Liberty Memorial Pit. Rob Zombie, Volbeat, Halestorm, but as a fan I gotta say this place sucks. Complete and utter mud pit from all the rain just made it worse. I don't know how many people were there, but it was too many. You couldn't get close to anything. Over long lines to the mobile toilets, beer lines. Although the mud was a big part of why I hated the event, I have to say if it was dry its not an ideal spot for a huge rockfest.

Downtown, traffic, expensive parking, long walk to the event. No thanks. Rather go to the smaller events with more space. Too many trees and too many monitors. I didn't go to watch Rob Zombie on a TV screen. I can do that at home for free. Stood in line too long to get my Rockfest shirt In this Moment was excellent and of course Papa Roach Was disappointed in Rob Zombie, the sound was terrible and I just wasn't feeling it This was my first time to the Rockfest festival.

I have been to a lot of 3 day festivals but non were ever as muddy as this one. I think the it would have been enjoyable if it would'nt have been so muddy.

They could have had a better layout for the stages and the sound and lighting for Rob Zombie on the main stage just sucked. The entire line-up was great, the day was perfect, and there is no bigger, better, or more fun one day festival anywhere in the world. Was disappointed in the fact that the park didn't put down more mulch to hopefully prevent a lot of the mud near concessions behind the Monster main stage. It was a lot of fun, but the mud put a damper on things. The show was amazing.

They're are only a couple things that keep it from getting 5 Stars. We love our city for making it possible to have that kind of fun!!!! Tech n9ne was amazing! It was awesome to get to see anthrax and nothing more. The whole event was amazing! And every band was wonderful! The bands were amazing! Thoroughly enjoyed all the shows and especially getting to hang out in the Monster Energy trailer.

The only pit fall and a HUGE one was that who ever organized the show thought that 20 porta-potties in the middle of a mud hole would be enough access for 10, people Didn't quite do the job.

People were actually charging others to use the bathroom behind a held up blanket. Would've easily been a 10 star show if not for that one HUGE oversight! This was the first time I went to Rock fest.
