This issue, which many ask but is never answered: Since Windows 10, regardless of the touchpad settings touchcheck features etc , Windows 10 itself seems to have something built in to protect clicking action while typing in certain apps.
Seems like games games mostly. Works fine for me in documents, actually that where i would want the buttons to not work so i dont accidentally move cursor to another part of the document while i'm typing. I can fix that with the Touchpad driver settings, so i'm good there. I'm only addressing the left clicking function while typing in a game. But i have read other posts of people who have this problem in games.
Drivers dont change it. Alps, Synaptics, Elan, doesn't seem to matter what mfgr, I find this issue unsolved for a lot but not necessarily all users of Windows 10 posting on the issue. So far i have only checked it on 9 Dell laptops 4 models and all have this problem.
The Touchpad setting that disables the touchpad does it's job when turned on, but even when it is turned off, the left button will not work within seconds of using a the keyboard.
